 The way to losing weight naturally is really not complicated.  You probably are fully aware of how to do it.  Therefore, healthy weight loss shouldn’t be a problem at all.

Yet, why haven’t you succeeded, you may ask yourself.  For many people, it is the “inconvenience” or a time factor or planning diet meals, etc.  Plus, many people have an appetite for “fattening” foods!

To help you lose weight naturally, we’re going to identify some of those “fattening” foods that you can choose to eliminate, thus increasing your chances of losing weight … 

Let’s take a look at a baked potato.  A baked potato (alone) is an excellent complex carb — and good fiber.  Yet, when you add loads of butter or sour cream, you just killed a great diet food!  So, either use NO sour cream or butter or choose use very little — you will be amazed at how tasty it can be without it!

All types of vegetables are excellent “diet foods”  — they have fiber, some protein, lots of nutrients, etc.  Yet, many of us KILL the goodness of them by adding oils, butter or for raw vegetables, fat-loaded salad dressing!  Try just steaming the vegetables and adding some thyme and fresh lemon juice.  Now the vegetables are LOW in calories and will still taste good!

In addition, just because a label says it is “fat free” doesn’t mean it is CALORIE free.  Sometimes these products actually have MORE calories in them than the regular product! So, realize you can’t eat as much “fat free” foods as you like — check the calorie content first.

Don’t skip meals – if you are doing this, you can actually be slowing down your metabolism.  Instead, try to eat every 3 to 4 hours.  Keep healthy snacks on hand.  One of the BEST snacks to eat is an apple.  Cheap, wholesome, nutritious, tasty, and it can even suppress your appetite for a bit until you can eat a regular meal. 

Losing weight naturally is a process of simply lowering your daily calorie count and increasing your activity level.  That’s it — and it is not a secret.

Simply dis-allowing extra fatty foods in your daily diet will immediately lower your daily calorie count.  Adding 10-15 minutes of activity a day, like a walk, dancing, etc. will increase your activity level.

“7 Fast Weight Loss Tips”

Your weight not only affects your physical appearance, it can also affect your health, quality of life and even your self esteem. Many people who lose weight fast, find enormous positive changes in their life.  That is why so many people are searching for ways to lose weight fast — yet, wish to do so in a healthy way, instead of using a “fad” diet.

It is always a good idea to talk to your doctor about a recommended weight loss program.  He/She will be able to determine if certain weight loss techniques are okay for you to follow, depending on your health level. 

In general, to lose weight fast, without detriment to your health, you should consider changing 2 different aspects of your life:

  1. What You Eat.
  2. Your Activity Level.

3.  Set a realistic goal and write it down.  Even when you wish to lose weight fast, writing the goal down will actually help you visualize it better and give you the proper mindset to losing weight.

4.  Many weight loss experts claim muscle burns more calories.  Try to incorporate a few muscle building exercises into your day.  Two easy exercises that you can start off with, without equipment are:

  1. Pushups — do just a few, add a few more every few days
  2. Squats — again, do just a few, add a few more every few days

These two exercises will begin to increase your muscle tone, and if you have added the 15 minutes of “activity” a day, you are on your way to increase your body’s muscle tone.

5.  Add more fiber to your diet.  Buy whole grain bread (not white EVER!).  Eat oatmeal or whole grain cereal at breakfast, etc.  Adding fiber to a meal will make you feel satisfied or full, faster.  As an added bonus, it usually helps the digestion system “move” digested food & waste out.

6.  Grill, Broil or Roast your meats.  Or, if that is not possible, use just a small amount of PAM or spray oil, to quickly stirfry your meat. And, choose lean meats. 

7. Increase your “fluid” intake.  This could be filtered water, green tea, white tea, low sugar juice (mix half juice with half water).  This keeps your body hydrated.  Many times people feel “hungry” when they are actually slightly dehydrated.  Also, keeping your body hydrated helps your body digest food better (including FATS), and it helps it get rid of toxins better.

Simply using the above 7 fast weight loss tips, can help you quickly drop the pounds.  It is not so drastic as a “fad diet”, nor do these tips impact your life to the point of being inconvenient.  This way, you will have a better chance of not returning to old “fat” habits that lead to gaining more weight, than when you started your weight loss goal!

Can You Lose Weight Where You Want?

If you have excess weight only in specific parts of your body, you still must look at yourself as a whole. It’s not possible to spot reduce; in other words, you can’t dictate that you only want weight to come off one place or another. In most cases your so called “trouble spots” is where the fat will come off last, so be prepared to lose weight in your fingers (rings fall off) and your face (friends may ask if you’re feeling all right) first. There is hope for losing that belly fat though.
Work Toward Building Muscle and Reducing Body Fat

If you work toward building muscle and reducing body fat you will eventually tackle those trouble spots though, and develop a better physique in the process. Muscle tissue is active meaning it requires calories to be maintained. If you were stranded without a food supply, eventually your body would turn to its own muscle tissue as a source of nutrition first (muscles are protein) while saving the fat stores for last. Simply put, fat is nature’s way of ensuring survival during times of famine. That’s why the prevalence of heart failure kills someone who is severely malnourished. By building more muscle you become a more efficient energy burning machine which translates to mean you can eat more food! That to me is a good thing.
The More Active You Are, The More You Get to Eat!

That explains why some people can eat so much more than others yet not gain weight; your efficient energy burning friend simply has a greater proportion of muscle to fat than you. Muscle is more dense than fat. It’s often said that a pound of muscle is heavier than a pound of fat, but the truth is a pound is a pound. What they mean is a one pound volume of muscle is a smaller package than a one pound volume of fat, or put another way, fat is billowy and fluffy while muscle is sleek and compact. Lady No. 1 weighs 120 pounds with 30% body fat so she has 84 pounds of lean tissue and 36 pounds of fat, while Lady No. 2 also weighing 120 pounds but at 18% body fat is carrying roughly 98 pounds of muscle and 22 pounds of fat. Would you rather be Lady No. 1 or Lady No. 2? Which do you think takes up more space, 22 or 36 pounds of fat? I’d say 36 pounds of fat would be a lot bigger package than 22 pounds.
How Much You Weigh is Meaningless

That is why body weight as a number by itself is meaningless, but your ratio of fat to muscle is very important and worth working to change. Strive to decrease your body fat and increase your muscle mass and you’ll look better, you’ll feel stronger and more energetic and you’ll simply be healthier.

You can generally have your body fat tested at fitness centers and most gyms so ask about having it done. It’s better to know you have 30% body fat and work to reduce it to 29, than not to know and only think in terms of body weight. Most people who think only of how much they weigh tend to do everything to reduce that weight, and it’s usually at the expense of losing more valuable muscle.

The best way to increase muscle and decrease fat is through a consistent exercise program. Start at whatever is your beginning, but do start.

Begin with an overall body conditioning type exercise program, doing whatever you enjoy, whether it be a sport, gardening, weight lifting, biking, hiking, or any other activity. Any physical movement you do regularly counts as exercise even if it is doing laundry or taking out the trash. Get as much as you can out of every chore you do, and stop thinking of it as a chore but instead as an opportunity to move your body.

In the early 1900s a washing machine was a new invention. People used to wash their clothes by hand, and hang them outside to dry. Being a housewife was actually a pretty strenuous job. It’s no wonder women were thankful for modern conveniences like automatic washers and dryers, but now we’ve come to where our daily activities are not taking our bodies at all, so unless we want to get fatter and fatter we must do something about it.

It doesn’t make sense to drive around and around in the parking lot looking for the closest space when you’re on your way to run or walk on the treadmill. Why take the elevator five flights every day at work and then pay a monthly fee to do the StairMaster after work? What if we all started to notice that our world is full of exercise equipment.

We could become so much more fit if we’d just start to notice all the opportunities for physical movement we miss in the name of convenience. Look around and see if you can spot some exercise opportunities, and then get busy and get fit.

How To Lose Belly Fat With A 10 Minute Workout

Are you looking to change the shape of your body or trying to lose belly fat without joining a high priced gym? If so, try this high energized cardiovascular fitness routine that that was developed by Keli Roberts.

With this 10 minute exercise routine you can burn up to 150 calories every single day.

The first two minutes of this fat burning routine is: Jump Rope - Begin by performing two jumps for each turn of the rope. Safety: Use the correct size jump rope and always land softly on the balls of your feet (that is the upper part of the bottom of your foot). Keep thinking I am losing weight.

Minutes two to three: Squat Thrust into a Push Up. The proper technique for this exercise is to stand with your feet shoulder width apart and your arms strait down next to your sides. Slowly squat down with your head forward and bring your hands to the floor just outside of your feet. Your hands should be pointing forward as well. Then in one movement, push your legs back and out behind you (into a pushup position). Perform one strict pushup and then jump back into your squat position and then stand back up. Keep thinking, the fat is vanishing.

Minutes three to four: Jump Rope with only one jump per turn. Keep thinking, The fat is melting away.

Minutes four to five: Back to the Squat Thrust and Push Up only this time you are going to add the Side Plank. After completing your squat thrust and push up, you are going to lift and rotate your left arm off of the ground and over your head. Your left foot will rotate and rest on top of you right foot. And you will rotate your neck so you are looking up at your ceiling. Rotate back to the center and repeat on the other side. When finished, hop back into your squat position, stand up and start again. Keep thinking, no more belly.

Minutes five and six: Jump Rope. Same as minutes three and four. keep thinking, I am losing body fat.

Minutes six and seven: Back to the Squat Thrust and Push Up only this time you are going to add the Leg Lift. This is the same as minutes two and three only this time you will lift the toes of one foot about twelve inches off of the ground only after you have performed your push up. Lower your foot and repeat on the other side. Hop back up to your squat position, stand up, and start again. Keep thinking, goodbye belly.

Minutes seven and eight: Jump Rope. Same as minutes three and four. Keep thinking, my belly is getting smaller.

Minutes eight and nine: Back to the Squat Thrust and Push Up only this time you are going to add Mountain Climbers. Repeat everything as in minutes two and three only this time after your push up, you will quickly jog in place from your push up position. Make sure you bring your knees up to your chest on each rotation. Perform 5 jogs and repeat this entire process. Keep thinking, I am going to lose weight.

Minutes nine and ten: Jump Rope. Same as you first two minutes. Keep thinking. If I do this everyday, I will lose belly fat. Good luck to everyone.

Weight Loss and Walking

A simple change to your lifestyle, such as adding a Sunday “walk-in-the-park” could be all you need to shed a few pounds, or at least keep them at bay.

Researchers in the UK studied the walking patterns of overweight and normal weight individuals and found only one difference.

On Sundays, the overweight group walked an average of 2221 steps less than any other day of the week. The normal weight group reported no reduction in walking on Sundays.

So if you find yourself spending Sunday’s on the couch, schedule an hour for a Sunday stroll to increase your activity level.

For maximum fat loss results, you could perform interval walking, alternating between fast walking for a minute and slow walking for a minute, repeated up to 10 times. This should help boost your metabolism and fitness, while lowering your body fat faster than regular walking.

Eventually, work up to doing this interval walking program 4 days per week and add two or three total body strength training workouts to round out a balanced bodysculpting program.

Even better, add some bodyweight strength training exercises to the walk and you’ll sculpt your body and get better results. So stop along the way and do some pushups, squats, and lunges. If you are strong enough, do some chinups on monkey bars.

Once you get home you can do some ab exercises like the plank and side plank, or even more advanced mountain climber exercises. You should also get a cheap Stability Ball and use it for lying leg curls, a great exercise for the back of your legs that anyone can do, even people with sore knees.

Also, make sure that you exercise for a good 30 minutes at pace you can handle, on either a treadmill or an elliptical machine. A treadmill will do a better job, but the elliptical is also good.

If you follow this plan, you will be losing a little over a pound a day, but like I said, once you stop this routine of only 1000 to 1500 calories a day you are very likely to go right back to your normal size.

2> Cut your calorie intake by at least 500 calories per day

Here is the hidden secret: 3500 calories equals 1 pound. To lose one pound of fat per week your body needs to burn 500 more calories per day then it consumes. If you cut your caloric intake by 250 calories and burn 250 calories exercising per day then you could easily lose weight with these two techniques alone. Cutting just 500 calories a day would result in a 52 lb weight loss in one year.

3> Get at least 7-8 hours sleep each night

Some amazing things happen when you sleep. Your body goes into repair mode and recharges itself. Muscles don’t grow when your working out. That would add up to a 52 pound weight loss in one year just by getting rid of the soda pop.

6> Increase natural food intake, reduce processed foods

Natural foods such as vegetables and fruits are for the most part already low calorie choices. Processed foods add tons of sugar and other ingredients that you can’t even pronounce. Do your body a favor a stay away from processed foods as much as possible. Processed foods are high calorie, non-nutrient foods for the most part.

7> Exercise at least 3-4 times per week

Depending on several factors such as weight, age, type of exercise and frequency; you can burn several hundred calories in just 30 minutes while at the same time building muscle. Muscle burns more calories thus it’s a win - win situation. The more muscle you build the more calories you will burn. Exercising also helps increase your metabolism which is a calorie eater.
